The Atlanta Opera has started 2014 by embracing a vital component of their mission – community engagement. They are bringing opera to students and families throughout Georgia this January with the Atlanta Opera Studio Tour, introducing thousands to their first taste of opera with a bilingual children’s opera, En Mis Palabras. 'Reaching out to the younger generation is a key part of how we develop and foster an appreciation for this magnificent art form in our community,' said Tomer Zvulun, General and Artistic Director, in a recent communication.

Last weekend they returned to the William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum as part of their collaboration with the Molly Blank Jewish Concert series. The initial concert in the series was recognized as one of “the most notable performances and events in Atlanta” for 2013 by The Atlanta Opera’s production of Tosca was also recognized, as was their “advocating the 'made here, performed here' concept and verbally investing in the city’s own creativity.”

En Mis Palabras features four singers, guitarist and pianist.
