Atlanta native Susan Rebecca White reads A Soft Place to Land at Outwrite Bookstore located at 991 Piedmont Ave NE, this Wednesday, May 19th at 7:30pm which will then be followed by an autograph session.
The book tells the story of two half sisters, Julia the older of the two and Ruthie, who are as close as two peas in a pod. Then one day their lives are literally torn apart by a tragic accident which leaves them mourning the loss of their parents. Furthermore, their parents will, to their disbelief states, that Julia will go to live with her biological father and his wife, while little Ruthie will live miles away with her aunt and uncle. Will the distance between them crack holes in their relationship? As the two start to rebuild their lives without the help of one another troubles start to arise.
The bond that was once so strong and loving is now devastated by jealousy, anger, and resentment. It seems that nothing will be able to mend the rift between the sisters. Until another shocking accident alters their lives once again, but by then will it be too late?
I guess you'll need to read it to find out because I'm sure not going to tell. If you will not be able to go but still would like a signed copy go here and buy it now and you will be able to find out for yourself what becomes of Julia and Ruthie.
