Recently, native Atlantan, Julia Roberts took the world by storm as she starred in Eat Pray Love, released last year by Sony Pictures.

Yes, Roberts was born in Atlanta at Crawford Long Hospital (now Emory University Hospital Midtown), to Betty Lou (née Bredemus) and Walter Grady Roberts.

Roberts' parents, were themselves actors and playwrights, and met while performing theatrical productions for the armed forces and later co-founded the Atlanta Actors and Writers Workshop in Atlanta, off Juniper Street right here in Midtown.

After starring in some 46 films, Julia delighted us with her latest, Eat Pray Love, which she starred in with Spanish actor Javier Bardem.  The production also took her on a worldwide tour to launch her new film and it was indeed a delight to see all the lovely clothes that Julia wore during its launch.

Julia was photographed in a very short black short suit, complete with jacket as she attended the premiere of "Eat Pray Love" at the Ziegfeld Theatre on August 10, 2010 in New York City. 

She wore her hair long and unfettered but the chunky high-heeled gladiators and her legs stole the show!  The heavy metal – collection of trinkets on her right wrist were awesome…

The production team and Julia Roberts then took the film’s tour onto Japan, where she appeared quite stunning in a striped dress in bronze tones as she was photographed with producer Dede Gardner while attending the “Eat Pray Love”'Japan Premiere at Roppongi Hills on August 19, 2010 in Tokyo, Japan.  She paired the look with matching glossy open-toe pumps.

Only the day before, Roberts had worn a quite unusual tropical print dress in greens and purples with matching green suede pumps during the 'Eat Pray Love' press conference at the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo. 

Rome had a lovely surprise when Julia Roberts was seen there in her black lace dress as she attended the Eat Pray Love Premiere at The Space Moderno Cinema on September 16, 2010 in Rome, Italy.  On her wrist Julia had a gorgeous diamond bracelet with emeralds to add a little glitz to the monochrome look.

Three days later, Roberts was photographed sporting dark aviator glasses as she arrived at the Maria Cristina Hotel during the 58th San Sebastian International Film Festival on September 19, 2010 in San Sebastian, Spain, where she wore an interesting wrap-over, gathered denim blue dress, belted at the waist with a broad black belt.

The next day, Julia appeared in a black mini and jacket, showing a lot of leg again, as she did at the beginning of the Eat Pray Love launch.  She carried the look off pretty well with reptile pumps!

Next stop for Julie Roberts will be the launch of her new film Larry Crowne, a comedy co-starring Tom Hanks to be released in July 2011.  Pay us a visit back home in Atlanta sometime Ms Roberts – meanwhile, we’ll be seeing you in the pictures…
