An Atlanta man charged with molesting young girls in 2010 was convicted this week by a Cobb County jury on two felony counts of aggravated child molestation.
Per Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynold's Office, 50-year-old Joel Neil Green could face up to a possible 40 years in prison. The crime occurred in April of 2010 when Glenn molested two girls, both only 9-years-old at the time. When the crimes occurred, Glenn was living with the girls in a home in Marietta.
The prosecutor of the case, Senior Assistant District Attorney Eleanor Odom, stated the conviction marks an important occurrence in Cobb County, not only for justice being served, but because the victims, although young, were able to testify against their assailant.
“This case is important because the victims were able to come to court, tell the jury what happened, have the jury believe them, and have justice served," Odom said recently.
The sentencing date has been scheduled for March 5 at 4 p.m. by Cobb Superior Court Judge James Bodiford.
