Atlanta-based Dargan Landscape Architects' co-owner Mary Palmer Dargan will be one of three experts lecturing at the 58th Edward C. Martin, Jr. Landscape Symposium at Mississippi State University on Oct. 16.
Dargan will be presenting Lifelong Landscape Design: Environments for Health and Longevity, focusing on how to help participants create their own stress-free home landscape. Other symposium lecturers include MSU's Director of Crosby Arboretum, Patricia Drackett, who is expected to provide Simple Solutions for Challenging Landscapes.
Drackett wants to show participants how they can turn their landscape disasters around, making them "winning opportunities." Dargan, on the other hand, is more about helping your prevent those disasters in the first place, using well-thought out landscape planning.
And for those looking for ideas on new plants to use in the garden, MSU's Bob Brzuszek will present his lecture on Great New Plants to Use and Abuse.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online by visiting the MSU Department of Landscape Architecture.
