Atlanta Dream announces its 2013 WNBA season schedule

It was announced in a press release late Wednesday that the Atlanta Dream will begin its sixth WNBA regular season in 2013 with a home game against the Tulsa Shock on Saturday, May 25.

Atlanta's WNBA team finished out 2012 with a disappointing Eastern Conference semi-final loss in three games to the eventual WNBA Champions Indiana Fever but are full of optimism for the new season as they look to get back in to the WNBA playoffs for the fifth consecutive year.

The Dream will play 17 home games this summer at Philips Arena including some great match-ups including two chances at home, to gain revenge on the Indiana Fever and some other great games against Western Conference Champion Minnesota Lynx, and games against Candace Parker and Los Angeles Sparks and the Phoenix Mercury.

The Dream’s 34-game schedule for 2013 will include 22 games against the other five teams from the Eastern Conference. The Dream will play five games against Connecticut and Washington, and four each against Chicago, Indiana and New York. The other 12 games will come against the six Western Conference teams, with one home and one road game against each.

The WNBA All-Star break will take place over the weekend of July 27 when the league's 11th All-Star game, the Boost Mobile WNBA All-Star 2013 takes place Saturday, July 27. The game be played at the home-court of the Connecticut Sun at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by ABC.

Season tickets for the 2013 season are now available and can be purchased by calling (877) 977-7729 or visiting www.AtlantaDream.net.
