Atlanta dog rescue hoping to save Shih Tzu puppy from county shelter

Angels Among Us, a non-profit small animal shelter in northern Georgia posted a photograph of Emberly, an eight-month-old Shih Tzu surrendered by her owner who can no longer care for the adorable little pooch.

Playful, sweet, and cuddly, the owner will be forced to turn the puppy into a local county animal shelter where euthanasia rates are skyrocketing because of overcrowding.

In addition, little puppies are very susceptible to bacterial infections found at shelters.

"Please help us make Emberly an Angels dog!! We can spare her from the dangers and emotional trauma of animal control but we need to raise at least $150 in donations www.angelsrescue.org/donate to cover her basic vetting expenses, spay and microchip. (tiff – Atlanta, GA)"

Emberly is also in need of a foster home in the Georgia area.

You can follow her urgent need for funds and temporary placement on a Facebook page exclusively for this little pooch by clicking here.

Please share Emberly's story with all of your friends, family, and coworkers.

As a side note, this author rescued a Shih Tzu from a high kill shelter last year. He is an amazing little guy, and shows his gratitude and love everyday of his life.
