Local Atlanta shoe designer Ann Roth announced on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 that she has expanded her luxury line to include bags. The collection includes a roomy leather tote, cosmetic case, clutch wallet and a key fob in four fun colors: black, orange, sunshine and coral rose. All of the items in the collection feature croc embossed leather, gold hardware, and a soft grey ultrasuede interior.
Ann says about designing the tote, "I wanted a functional, sophisticated, yet fun tote that women could carry their 'life' around in, like I do. I decided on a tote, because I knew it would appeal to both professional women and busy moms." The oversized wallet will hold all of your credit cards, cash and even receipts and does double duty as a clutch for a night out. The cosmetic case is roomy enough to hold the essentials but will fit neatly inside the tote. A Signature Ann Roth Vintage Shoe charm adorns the key fob.
The orange tote is a limited edition bag known as the O.D.B.F tote which stands for Orange Duffel Bag Foundation, an organization that provides training and mentoring to at-risk and homeless youth. Ann had the opportunity to meet one of the authors of "My Orange Duffel Bag" whose co-authors founded the organization. That meeting inspired Ann to design a bag with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Orange Duffel Bag Foundation. Ann says "the fact that orange is the hot color this season made it all the more fun and exciting. The board loved the idea, and things just started moving from there."
The collection is available for pre-order online for special prices for a limited time. The items are expected to ship between April and May 2012.
