The ESPN Wide World of Sports complex at Disney World in Orlando, Florida will soon be buzzing as the 2012 Grapefruit League kicks off the professional baseball season.
Soon the now quiet 9,500 seat Champion Stadium, home of the Atlanta Braves, will be overflowing with thousands of baseball fans patiently awaiting the newest season to begin.
As fans gear up for the 2012 campaign, they will need a spring training guide whether they plan to actually travel to Florida, or just follow the Braves, and other teams, on television and through the internet.
What you need to know about 2012 Atlanta Braves spring training:
Where- Home are played at games played at Champion Stadium, ESPN Wide World of Sports, Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, Florida
When- The Braves first home game is Saturday March 3 vs. Detroit at 1:05 p.m. EST. The rest of the schedule can be found HERE.
Ticket Information- Tickets can be purchased through Tickemaster, or directly on the Braves website and generally range between $20 and $40.
Additional Information- First workouts begin on February 15 for pitchers and catchers, and with the entire team on February 18.
Note:
Fans do not necessarily need to attend actual games to meet players and observe spring practice activities.
General access to the Disney complex generally allows for some limited access to Braves players and coaches, both past and present, as well as minor league prospects and Atlanta front office staff.
