Atlanta belly dance instructor and performer, Galina Zivoluba will be hosting a Sandy Victim Bellydance Fundraiser on Sunday, January 27th, 2013 at Pera Dance Studio in Atlanta. The fundraiser will feature Atlanta’s top professional bellydancers, troupes and instructors performing Egyptian to Modern Fusion styles.
The “superstorm” named Hurricane Sandy devastated portions of the Caribbean, Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States late October 2012. At least 253 people lost their lives and damages in the US were estimated around $63 billion dollars. Thousands of people are still dealing with homelessness and loss of business income due to the destruction left by Sandy.
The show will feature Jendayi Dance Company who performs Theatrical Fusion Belly Dance in venues around Atlanta such as the Fox and Imperial Fez. Solo performers included Atlanta Raq Stars such as World Belly Dance Alliance co-founder and Raqs performer Jenny Nichols, Saroya of Bellydance By Saroya, Aziza Nawal of Awalim, Kira Lang, Nail’ah and of course Galina herself.

Admission to the event is $16.00 per person.
Doors open at 7 p.m. with show beginning at 7:30 p.m.
