For a real “atheist experience,” Matt Dillahunty is your guy. This year, his public access television show has really found its audience… the entire atheist community.
Dillahunty is a rising star within the greater community of reason and this year he really has showed us why. As host of The Atheist Experience, Dillahunty often takes Christian callers and delivers sharp and decisive rebuttals to all questions while at the same time making a positive case for non-belief.
This year, Dillahunty engaged Georgia pastor, Mark Allison in a debate. It goes without saying that Dillahunty mopped the floor with Allison, but it was the way he did it that was most impressive. His welcoming style and understanding of the standard arguments combined with his formidable Biblical knowledge and his ability to think on his feet made him an unstoppable. Hopefully in 2012, he will have the opportunity to debate some of the more popular Christian apologists like Dinesh D’Souza or William Lane Craig.
Dillahunty is also the current president of the Atheist Community of Austin is a regular on the group’s podcast, The Non-Prophets.
