The musical seems to be one of the most neglected of the theatrical genres in Austin, but in 2011 we still got some solid works coming from places both traditional and unexpected. We had a wide range of works, from slam-bang Broadway hits to smaller more intimate pieces, even a few original works from some of the more experimental companies in town. So, who, out of this myriad of works, is in contention? Without further ado, here they are, the nominees for 2011's ATE Awards for Musicals.
