This week marks the fifth week in the Rhode Island General Assembly’s 2014 Legislative year. This week the two parts of the legislative body begin their week at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 04, 2014.

Both the Rhode Island Senate and the Rhode Island House of Representatives have a busy week ahead of them. Both the Legislative committee and floor calendars have agendas posted for this week. There are 11 House committees and six Senate committees meeting between Tuesday and Thursday.

The floors of the General Assembly are also busy. Both the House and the Senate have issues on order for this week. On Wednesday, the House will take up the matter of House Resolution 7199, which urges the U.S. Congress to restore the cost of living adjustments for military retirees. The Senate will consent to Tuesday to several congratulatory resolutions.
