AT&T offers incentives for T-Mobile customers to switch

As we enter 2014, AT&T has made a new year's resolution to go after current T-Mobile customers and convert them to AT&T.

Beginning last week, AT&T started offering T-Mobile customers up to $450 per line when they change service to AT&T and trade their current smartphone.

AT&T is hoping that more smartphone choices, their robust 4G LTE network, and more choices when it comes to mobile plans will woo those currently on T-Mobile.

Here are the trade-in/switch to AT&T details directly from AT&T:

T-Mobile customers who switch to AT&T can trade-in their current smartphone for a promotion card of up to $250, which can be used toward AT&T products and services. Trade-in values will vary based on make, model and age of the smartphone, but many of the latest and most popular smartphones will qualify for a value of $250.

The extra $200 comes into play as an additional $200 credit per line when they transfer their wireless service to AT&T and choose an AT&T NextSM plan. The switching customers must also buy a device at the full retail price or activate a device they currently own that will work on the AT&T network.

AT&T’s new Mobile Share Value plans that offer data and unlimited talk and text start as low as $45 per month, and there is no annual contract for these plans.
