The Final Four is not just for middle-aged, balding men still reliving their athletic accomplishments.
It turns out that on Sunday, it was for a couple thousand teen aged girls as singing sensation Cody Simpson gave a concert at the Bracket Town fan fest in Atlanta.
Don't know the name Cody Simpson? I bet your teenage daughter does.
This 16-year old has over 3.4 million Twitter followers and 3.3 million Facebook likes – to go along with over 150 million YouTube views.
For Simpson, who recently debuted an album and is working on another, he's loving every minute of it.
"I'm working on a follow-up album and I really want to give my fans a piece of me through my music."
Born in Queensland, Australia, Simpson didn't play basketball when he was growing up, but he's a fan.
"I follow it a little since I've been here," explains the teen sensation. "I didn't play when I was back home, and I've been to some Lakers games when I'm in L.A."
Here in Atlanta Simpson said he's added a new song to his set that debuted online last night and he's putting in some more guitar.
"I like to showcase a lot of different aspects of what I can do," says Simpson. "I'm going to make an impression."
Simpson says he's really concentrating on creating a distinctive sound and he's more than happy to keep his fans updated on Twitter and Facebook.
"I'm not sure how I got this many followers, but it came naturally, I guess. Social media is a big part of what I do, and it's the easiest way to connect with my fans.
Simpson connected with Atlanta today, and brought a positive message and some original music to his legions of fans.
