Apple and AT&T have now sold out completely of their iPhone 4 stock, making it for the most part impossible for you to get the device for launch day if you haven’t already reserved it. In a matter of hours, both companies sold out of their expected inventory, and AT&T has suspended its iPhone 4 sales for the time being.
As of this moment, over 600,000 i4’s have been sold, which is a phenomenal number considering it was only available for preorder for less than 24 hours. In fact, I reserved mine on AT&T at 7:45 AM that morning, and the website’s servers were knocked out by 10 AM that same day. Both Apple and AT&T’s expectations are epic, with AT&T claiming in Business Insider that first day iPhone 4 presales were ten times higher than 3GS. Needless to say, Steve Jobs and Co. have to be pleased with the new wonder device.
If you were lucky enough to get your iPhone 4 order in, then you’re fine and have nothing to worry about. You will get you iPhone 4 on launch day. If you didn’t, then it looks like it may be a while before you can get your hands on one. Fortunately, the new OS comes out next week, and that should tide you over.

I was able to get my order in through the AT&T website around 4:45AM after trying on the apple website for 1.5 hours!! I GOT IT THOUGH! TWO IN FACT, ONE FOR ME AND MY FIANCÉE!!!
I actually got tired of trying on AT&T and Apple's websites and drove to the nearest Apple store and reserved one there instead. Only 10 minutes wait! I also reserved one for myself and my fiancee.
