At Missoni the show must go on (Photos)

The fashion label Missoni held its autumn/winter fashion show on Sunday in Milan despite the solemnity surrounding the disappearance of its co-owner, Vittorio Missoni.

"In this difficult moment for my family and our company, the firm must carry on its business," sister Angela said in a statement.

Inspired by the palette coloring North America's landscape, the autumn/winter collection featured pieces in hues of gray, anthracite, silver and green. The brand's ubiquitous zig-zag patterns gave way to stripes mimicking North American motifs, and they appeared on fur-lined blazers, denim pieces, and cardigans.

Overall, the stunning collection placed a large emphasis on the area around the neck by showcasing high collars, silk scarves, and even beaded necklaces.

Vittorio Missoni went missing on January 4th when the plan that carried him, his partner, another couple, and crew members, vanished after departing from an archipelago off the Venezuelan coastline. Vittorio has been instrumental in guiding the brand as its marketing head, and they have opened hotels in Edinburgh, and Kuwait, and launched the Missoni Home label.
