At least five hurt in Phoenix office complex shooting; Gunman possibly on loose

Five people are injured, with three of them being shot, in a shooting that happened at an office complex in north-central Phoenix on the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013. Officials are not confirming anything, but the gunman could possibly be on the loose.

The shooting happened in a building on 16th Street near Glendale Avenue according to officials. AZCentral.com was told by people inside of the building that the situation appeared to be over and done.

Officers were still sweeping the building at that time.

Larry Ruch, who works out of a law office directly across the street, said that there are at least 50 police cars at the building where the shooting took place. Also in view are seven to eight fire trucks and K-9 units.

Ruch says that there appeared to be four people taken out on stretchers. He also said that numerous witnesses and onlookers ran to high-up balconies of surrounding buildings to watch things unfold at the scene of the shooting.

As of now, there are no confirmed numbers of exactly how many are injured or how serious their wounds are.
