It is no surprise that a day at the spa can be costly, and going by yourself is not as much fun. So why not do it all at home? With spa parties popping up all over the globe, its time to get in on this popular concept. You can create a home spa and have a blast while creating a theme for the party and getting your kids involved, if you decide too! When a decision for a theme is made , plan on decorations and supplies that compliments the theme. To keep cost and workload low, have each friend contribute to a beauty potluck. Companies like Party City and Oriental Trading Company has loads of party stuff for every theme at inexpensive prices, so you can buy most of the decorations and goody bag items through their catalog , store or web site. You can be simple or go all out; it depends on your budget. Create a Facial Bar by transforming your kitchen, dining room, or living room into your facial section, where your guests can mix their own treatments. The bathroom and kitchen sink should be close by and prepared for cleansing and rinsing. Fill clear glasses or small bowls with a variety of exfoliators and astringents. Have a section with natural ingredients like oats, yogurt, smashed avocado, honey, grapeseed ,olive oil, lemons, crushed green tea leaves, and essential oils such as peppermint, lavender, and rosemary. Set the bar by putting out a tray of the natural ingredients. On a separate tray, arrange items like empty glasses and stirrers for mixing (Popsicle sticks work great). Include cotton swabs, cotton balls, and moisturizer. Have paper towels and cotton face towels nearby and most importantly have fun.
