Baking Soda Scrub
Grab some baking soda and put a small amount of warm water to make a paste. Rub your hands together and put it on your face in a circular motion. Baking Soda is great for a scrub because it has very fine granules. Go over your entire face until it feels smooth and rinse your face with warm water.
Yogurt Honey Banana Facial
Mix one tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of plain yogurt. Then mash one half of a banana. Use a bit more or less of an ingredient to modify consistency as desired. Put this mixture all over your face and rest on a bed for 20 minutes. Next, rinse with warm water. Remember to put a towel around any areas that drip.
Honey’s ability to absorb and retain moister makes it an ideal ingredient in many cosmetics and skin care products. Yogurt adds enzymes and oils to the skin, working as a natural moisturizer to improve overall skin texture and provide a healthy glow. Bananas are loaded with soothing properties that help to reduce skin inflammation.
Almond Oil Moisturizer
Apply almond oil all over your face and heat a washcloth with warm water. Squeeze out the excess water and put the cloth over your face for 3 minutes. Finally, blot off the excess moisture and you are good to go!
Vinegar Toner
For those days when you need a toner, use vinegar on a cotton ball. Vinegar acts as a natural toner and cleans your face in much of the same way you can use vinegar around the house for cleaning. Please note that you need to keep away from eyes or the fumes may sting.
Honey Almond Scrub
Combine two parts sugar with one part olive oil, one part almond oil and one teaspoon of honey. You can add more or less of each ingredient to get the desired consistency.
Sugar acts as a natural exfoliator, does not clog pores, helps eliminate blemishes and restores balance to the skin’s oils. Olive oil provides a natural moisture barrier as it sinks into the skin, benefiting skin by helping to create a more moisture rich environment allowing the skin cells to rejuvenate and repair while protecting the skin against dryness. Almond oil acts as an excellent emollient and moisturizer. Honey absorbs and retains moisture.
