Update 2/28/14: Per the Facebook page Urgent Part 2, Angel is safe!

A 14-year-old senior lost her home after her owner surrendered her to the New York Animal Care and Control facility in Manhattan on Feb. 21.

Angel's owner cited "personal problems" as the reason for leaving the beautiful senior behind - exactly what those personal problems consisted of is a mystery.

What is not a mystery is that Angel needs a helping hand - she did not ask to be put into her current situation and she is in danger of prematurely losing her life.

Angel's prior owner described her as "friendly" with people and other animals.

The following words were shared about Angel:

This pretty Angel is looking for the perfect retirement home! After spending her whole life in one place, Angel is now trying to find a new family to spend her time with. Angel has lived with other dogs and cats and is reportedly friendly around both!

Please take a moment to network on Angel's behalf - all that is needed to make her golden years complete is one person who has the love, time and space to make her future possible.
