Free-agent right-hander Peter Moylan agreed to a minor league deal with the Astros on Nov. 22, which includes a non-roster invitation to Spring Training.

Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca first reported the story via Twitter.

Moylan, who turns 35 on Monday, posted a 1-0 record with a 6.46 ERA over 15 1/3 innings in 14 relief appearances for the Los Angeles Dodgers last season.

The Australian native has battled injuries over the past three seasons.

Prior to joining the Dodgers in 2013, Moylan proved to be an effective reliever for the Atlanta Braves, going 20-9 with a 2.59 ERA over 295 appearances between 2006-12.

Moylan elected free agency in late October rather than accepting an outright assignment from Los Angeles.
