Astrological view of the fall equinox and full moon

Autumn full Moon
Autumn full Moon

Fall equinox arrived at 3:10 AM GMT yesterday. The Moon was coming to full and was in conjunction with Jupiter and Uranus. The Sun was in conjunction with Saturn. And the Sun, Saturn, Moon, Jupiter and Uranus were square Pluto. Moon being full denotes that the world is at a turning point and that matters developing since spring equinox are now coming to a head.

Looking to see how the fall equinox chart interacts with the vernal equinox chart, we find that Neptune in the fall equinox chart is exactly square the vernal equinox Moon. This means that there will be no small degree of confusion in the process of change coming up this fall. Scandals are brewing; some perfectly insane, unscrupulous behavior and actions of politicians is to be anticipated; politicians in cahoots with big business whose agendas are not in the interests of the environment or the well being of the general public will make insane decisions.

The Moon at vernal equinox was exactly conjunct the malefic star Algol. Neptune square the vernal equinox Moon conjunct Algol says that people are losing their minds. It warns us to guard against the real danger of losses caused by untrustworthy, unscrupulous persons and agencies. It also warns us not to fall prey to the fear mongering of the media.

Neptune square the vernal equinox Moon conjunct Algol also says that drug and alcohol abuse is increasing world-wide. The drug cartels are becoming more active. Conditions in Mexico and Afghanistan are becoming even more dangerous than before because of this.

Astrologically, we note that the Sun and Moon at the fall equinox are square Pluto in Capricorn. Capricorn rules Mexico and Afghanistan. Conditions in Mexico and Afghanistan are becoming more and more complicated due to increasing underground activity.

Capricorn also rules India. We will hear of disruptive underground activity in India as well. Sectarian violence is increasing along with the criminal activities of big business.

Moon conjunct Jupiter and Uranus in opposition to the Sun conjunct Saturn is bringing to a head tensions world-wide. The Sun and Moon square Pluto show that world tensions are being compounded by the bottom line interests of big business and banks.

The full Moon shows a the market at a turning point. Conditions are now more volatile than over the past two weeks. It is unlikely that the market will continue to rise as it has, but will act more unevenly over the coming days.

Seen through the lens of the Johndro locality method, the fall equinox/full Moon chart in Washington DC has the Sun conjunct Saturn in the 11th house opposite the Moon, Jupiter and Uranus in the 5th house and these square Pluto in the 2nd house. Tensions in Congress are mounting. The incumbency is being challenged. Opposition is looming up. The economy is the bone of contention. Neptune in the 4th house square the vernal equinox Moon in the 7th house is showing, in addition to the general malaise of the real estate market, dangers to the land coming from international tricksters. This points to problems of illegal immigration and drug traffic as well as to multi-national agro-business, oil and gas company designs on the land itself. This danger raises a red flag.

The Moon, Jupiter and Uranus in the 5th house opposite the Sun and Saturn in the 11th house also show growing foreign diplomatic involvement and opposition to the internal affairs of the US government involving the incumbent party, in other words the President and the Congress. The UN is taking it upon themselves to attempt to interfere with the issues of immigration and guns. The later means that the UN will take it upon themselves to interfere with the US constitution if allowed. What's behind all this is shown by the square of Pluto in the 2nd house to the Sun, Saturn, Moon, Jupiter and Uranus: secret elements coming from deep in the banking industry.

Mars in the US Johndro chart is exactly on the Ascendent. This shows the people of this country in an angry mood. Mars rules the 1st and 6th houses of the chart; the anger is connected to problems of unemployment. Pluto is the dispositor of Mars. Pluto is in the 2nd house. The discontentment of the people is tied directly to finances. This discontentment is driving the conflict that is developing between the incumbent party in control of the Congress and its opposition. The writing is on the wall.

The Johndro chart for Albuquerque, NM, where this writer currently resides, has the Sun and Saturn in the 12th house opposite Moon, Jupiter and Uranus in the 6th and all these square Pluto in the 3rd house. Employment and labor is under stress. Social services in the city are stressed out. And underground elements coming from Arizona and across the border are promissing to compound the problems. On the other hand, Venus is exactly conjunct the 2nd house cusp showing money increasing. The real estate market is doing relatively well, and people are moving here. Venus rules the 8th house. Conjunct the 2nd house cusp, Venus is showing a growing interest in investing that is bringing money to Albuquerque.

Truly, the full Moon conjuncting Medusa's Head is not a good omen. Literally around us we see our politicians "turned to stone" and either going totally in one way or another so as to be totally out of touch!

Algol (β Per / Beta Persei), known colloquially as the Demon Star, is a bright star in the constellation Perseus.

The Arabic name, "al Ghul" (related to our word "ghoul"), means "the demon," from a longer phrase that refers to the demon's head. In Greek mythology, Algol represents the Medusa's head with which Perseus turned Cetus to stone, the star considered an "unlucky" one for centuries. As regular as clockwork, every 2.867... days, the brightness of the star plummets from mid second magnitude (2.1) to the dim end of third (3.4, just 30 percent of normal), the whole event (including recovery) taking only a few hours.
