Astoria Artists Marketplace and Cultural Center, in the heart of historic downtown Astoria, features the works of local artists in a beautiful vintage building and studio/gallery space.
The Artists’ Marketplace is dedicated to building community through the arts and connecting Astoria-area artists to residents in a safe, welcoming atmosphere. We specialize in showcasing the talents of local artists in both solo and group exhibitions - often utilizing a common theme.
What started out as a space generously donated by Pete Gimre for the Astoria Open Studio Tour in July of 2013, is the site being used this winter to provide space for established and emerging artists to showcase their art, to host cultural activities, classes, and workshops, and to participate to helping enliven the downtown Astoria’s art scene. Astoria Artists’ Marketplace is hosting its first event, the Holiday Bazaar over the weekend of December 13-15. Participating in the 2nd Saturday Artwalk, the Artists’ Marketplace will be open for business Friday, from 3:00-7:00, Saturday from Noon to 7:00, and Sunday, from 12:00 noon to 4:00.
