Along with the new name comes a new logo.
CEO Tony Bingham, in announcing the name change, explained, “Now is the time for ASTD to adapt and meet you where you are, to align to where the profession is and where it’s going. This is a journey of redefining our brand and widening a path to a future that is grounded in the work you do in developing the talent of today and tomorrow.”
For several years now, ASTD has drifted away from a focus on training and towards all efforts at developing professionals. The new name fits that organizational path while still remaining tied to the association's past.
