According to a Fayetteville, Georgia newspaper, assault charges against Creflo Dollar were dropped last week.
The megachurch pastor was arrested and charged in June 2012 for allegedly assaulting his 15-year-old daughter after an altercation.
The Fayette County Citizen says state court prosecutors allowed Dollar to participate in an pre-trial intervention program. The requirement included completing an anger management program in addition to paying $1,072 in fees and court costs.
Following an argument in the Dollar house, the well-known pastor was initially charged with simple battery and cruelty to children.
The police report from the incident last June said Dollar's teenage daughter called police to say her father had attacked her after they argued about whether or not she could attend a party. The report stated Dollar had choked his daughter, then threw her to the ground, punched her and hit her with his shoe.
During an interview, Dollar admitted he did spank his daughter and wrestled her to the floor, but he said it was because she had hit him.
Since the pre-trial intervention program met its goals, the assault charge against Creflo Dollar has been dropped.
