Assassin's Creed: Pirates is available to download from the iTunes store for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices running iOS7 as well as select Android devices running Android 3.2 and up from the Google Play store for $4.99. iPhone users should note that the game is recommended for iPhone 4S and up.

In Assassin’s Creed: Pirates, players control take on the role of a young and ambitious captain named Alonzo Batilla during the Golden Age of Piracy. The game will allow players to engage in "massive real-time naval battles" according to Ubisoft as well as manage their crew, upgrade their ship and recruit new crew members in their quest to become "the most feared pirate in the Caribbean."

For example, purchasing better sails can make Batilla's ship faster, better weapons make it more powerful and recruiting new crew members will grant perks that make Batilla a more effective Captain.

Both Assassins and Templars will make appearances in Assassin's Creed: Pirates as well as famous historical figures including Blackbeard, Bellamy, and Hornigold.
