Ubisoft released another walk-through video for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag on Tuesday that details the naval assault of island forts in the open world title coming to the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC.
The Assassin's Creed IV walk-through video from Gamescom acts as a tutorial of sorts as it explains that each naval zone in the game has one fort protecting it that must be taken out. The harder the zone, the more difficult the task of taking out the fort becomes.
Each fort comes with artillery towers that must be destroyed so that Captain Edward Kenway can lead his men in an assault to take it over. The fort in the video is considered an easy one with only two towers but it also has two ships guarding it as well.
Once the enemy ships and the artillery towers are taken down by canons and mortars, Kenway seamlessly goes from ship to land to attack the fort on foot. From there, it is back to the traditional Assassin's Creed gameplay by climbing and leaping to find and kill the fort's commander. Once done, the fort is Kenway's and the zone is fully accessible.
Assassin's Creed IV is due out on Oct. 29 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. The PS4 release will come when the console launches on Nov. 15 and also alongside the Xbox One release whenever that is announced. The PC release is scheduled for sometime before the end of 2013.
