The “Assassin’s Creed III” DLC, titled “The Tyranny of King Washington,” has gotten a start date: the first part (of a planned trilogy) will be released on Feb. 19, with the other two parts to follow in March and April, Eddie Makuch for Gamespot reports on Feb. 6.
The idea behind the DLC takes place in an alternate universe, where George Washington “succumbs to the allure of power and crowns himself king.”
On a humorous note, the first part of the DLC, titled “The Infamy,” will be released the day after President’s Day—a federal holiday that is in honor of George Washington. The second part of the series, titled “The Betrayal,” is currently set for a March 19 release. The third and final part, “The Redemption,” is supposedly dropping on April 23.
All three parts of the DLC will be released for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC systems; the WiiU DLC is planned, but the release dates have yet to be released—meaning they could release later for Nintendo’s system.
The three chapters will be available with the “Assassin’s Creed” Season Pass, with a price of $30 altogether. Individual chapters will be available at $10 each.
In other Ubisoft news, “Ubisoft also announced today a new partnership with McFarlane Toys that will see the toy maker create a line of action figures based on the series,” Makuch writes. “Series 1 will include seven figures, including Connor and Haytham Kenway. The toys measure about six inches tall and feature 25 points of articulation. They also come with a code that unlocks "exclusive" Assassin's Creed game content.” The figures will be available in North America, Canada, South America, Australia, Mexico, and New Zealand for $15-$17 each.
