Fan films are practically becoming a standard of popularity these days. Some of them are truly bad and some of them, like this one titled Assassin's Creed: Parallel, are actually pretty awesome.
This one delves into Subject 13, showing the detrimental problems of the Bleeding Effect, a concept in the game that allows Desmond (and the other assassins who came before/after him) to learn skills from their ancestors through the Animus. There isn't much in the way of story going on, but the suspense is killer.
And don't forget to stick around after the credits for a little surprise. I'll go ahead and say right now that it isn't a cameo appearance or anything so impressive, but it's still pretty cool.
