'Assassin's Creed: Black Flag' confirmed for PS3 and PS4 (Photos)

A new leaked trailer has surfaced on Mar. 2, 2013, for the highly anticipated sequel to the "Assassin's Creed" series entitled "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag." The new trailer showcases a rather odd mixture of themes, taking all that we know about the "Assassin's Creed" games and diving headfirst into the open sea, littered with pirates and huge ships. It's hard to say if these two themes will intertwine, but the trailer flows nicely and presents an interesting narrative sequence.

First thing we see and hear is the brilliantly voiced, Captain Blackbeard, who seems rather unsettled, but fascinated about a new captain who has been wiping out whole ships by himself. This new captain happens to be Edward Kenway, the new protagonist of "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag." Edward carries four pistols, two cutlasses and the usual hidden blades and brutally cuts down target after target. He clearly portrays how formidable a presence he means to the pirates. It is unclear if Blackbeard is the villain here because of the amount of fear he expresses, warning his crew to not meddle in the affairs of the assassin. The themes surprisingly coexist and it will be interesting to see how an assassin becomes a threat to the golden age of pirates that took place around the 1700s.
