'Assassin's Creed 4': World premeire trailer, dev says 'Black Flag' has new feel

Ubisoft recently announced the next game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise called “Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag” and posted the World Premiere Trailer Mar. 4. The plot is set to follow the pirate captain Edward Kenway during the 18th century.

“Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag features some of the most infamous pirates in history, such as Blackbeard, Charles Vane and Benjamin Hornigold, and will take players on a journey throughout the West Indies during a turbulent and violent period in history.”

According to an interview posted on VG247.com with game developer Carsten Myhill, the game is not just a revamped version of “Assassin’s Creed 3” and deserves to stand alone as its own game. Myhill goes on to say that, “I think it completely warrants the Assassin’s Creed 4 moniker, not only with the new name and setting, but the attitude and the tone of the experience.”

Check out the world premiere trailer here and check back as there is bound to be a lot of new information coming after this big announcement. There is already a second trailer available here on VG247.com.

If you are yet to play “Assassin’s Creed 3”, it is currently available at the Steam store for $49.99 for the Standard Edition and $79.99 for the Deluxe Edition. The Season Pass, which includes the “Hidden Secrets” DLC, is available for $29.99.
