Assassin's Creed 4 trailer leaked onto YouTube

The new trailer for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag has made its way onto YouTube days before Ubisoft planned to make the official reveal. While not much is shown in the trailer, it lists the game’s release date as October 29th. The main character’s name is also revealed to be Edward Kenway.

This all but confirms rumors that the next assassin will be the father of Haytham Kenway, from Assassin’s Creed 3. As to how closely this game will relate to Haytham and Connor’s stories is still unknown. It will be interesting to see how pirates are represented in this upcoming title, now that we know it takes place during the 1700s.

If fans order the game now, they will receive a limited edition poster designed by Todd McFarlane. A high quality image of the poster has not been released, and there is currently no word as to how many of them have been made.

More information about Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag to come within the following months. Hopefully a gameplay trailer surfaces before this year’s E3. As for the leaked trailer, which has been titled “C A 4” (presumably as an attempt to not draw too much initial attention to the leak), can be found on YouTube.
