'Assassin's Creed 4' rumored to be revealed next week, next-gen release possible (Photos)

With previous talks of the next installment to the “Assassin's Creed” franchise scheduled to have a possible release before the end of this year, many fans of the series has been wondering when Ubisoft will provide further information on these developments. On Feb. 19, it was found that Ubisoft had begun sending out invitations to what seems to be an “Assassin's Creed” event that is scheduled to take place next week, via GamingEverything.

It has been reported that this invite lists the date of Feb. 27, next Wednesday. As stated above, Ubisoft has already begun talks of the next installment to the “Assassin's Creed” franchise. It has been announced that this title will feature a brand-new protagonist, as well as a different historic setting.

Currently, we have no information on exactly what Ubisoft plans to the with the “Assassin's Creed” series with this next installment, but it will be very interesting to see where their decision leads to. Also, with the recently announced PS4, the next installment to the “Assassin's Creed” series could very well make its way onto next generation consoles.
