Giordano Contestabile has provided some details in regards to the development team size for the upcoming multiplatform title, “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag,” which is coming to the PS4 and Xbox 720. Assassin's Creed IV is made by 7 studios and (I hear) nearly 1,000 people. Is this the new AAA?

“Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag” will be released for the Nintendo Wii U, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms in addition to the aforementioned PS4 and Xbox 720. The next-generation systems, as well as the annual release schedule for the series, could have resulted in the bloated size of the development team. The PS4 and Xbox 720 are both expected to be released in North America sometime during the holiday season of 2013.
