Yannis Mallat has provided some commentary in regards to the new opportunities that will be introduced with the launches for the PS4 and Xbox 720 consoles. In an interview with CVG that was published on April 23, the chief executive at Ubisoft (the company behind the upcoming “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag”) mentioned that they are “very pleased” with both next-generation systems. This is because the PS4 and Xbox 720 will open up new development opportunities in terms of creativity, innovation and other aspects. We're very pleased with each new system when they eventually come because it comes with its own opportunities for creativity, innovation and new things. We really rely on our creatives to do that.

Ubisoft is currently developing “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag” for the Nintendo Wii U, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms in addition to the aforementioned PS4 and Xbox 720 next-generation consoles.
