"Assassin's Creed 4" details have been revealed and the information that people know can easily tell that this next installment is simply an evolution of the previous iteration in the series.
According to a report from IGN yesterday, there has been a promotional picture that has leaked the next installment of the "Assassin's Creed 4" franchise being one that takes placed during the era of pirates.
This had been rumored before from a person who supposedly saw some promotional material that a person was viewing on an airplane, and really, this is more of a confirmation that pirates will be the theme.
The poster was set to run in game retailers this coming Monday, March 4th, and this date had been confirmed from other sources as well.
This information is definite and is where the franchise is headed next. The game will probably officially be called "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag."
The poster also clearly shows a photo of a new assassin that will be the protagonist in this next installment. So for those who believed Connor would be back, sorry to disappoint.
This information is scheduled to be confirmed shortly from Ubisoft. People may have to wait until Monday for confirmation, but this game is happening as stated above.
This has been an evolution of sorts for the franchise, and the fact that this next installment will be heading toward an era of pirates, it's not surprising given what Ubisoft showed with "Assassin's Creed III."
In the game's previous installment, it featured a heavy emphasis on war at sea, and Ubisoft put in a significant amount of time in order to get the performance of ship battles to where they wanted it to be.
So it only makes sense that a pirate themed installment would be next. Japan, Egypt and World War II will not be where this game is headed.
"Assassin's Creed 4" is expected to be a PS4 and Xbox 720 title.
