‘Assassin’s Creed 4’ confirmed to be coming to the PS3?

According to a report from TheSixthAxis on Feb. 24, 2013, a new “Assassin’s Creed” game is coming to the PlayStation 3. In an interview, Michael Denny, Senior Vice President of SCEE Worldwide Studios mentioned that another “Assassin’s Creed” was coming to the PS3 It would make sense that this game is going to be “Assassin’s Creed 4”, which was recently revealed to be starring a new main character and location. This is typically the case for the numbered sequels in the franchise, Like “Assassin’s Creed 2” and “Assassin’s Creed 3”.

“Look at the games coming out on the PlayStation 3 like The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, GT6, and then on the third-party side of things another fantastic Assassin’s Creed, GTA.”

It is assumed that the next Assassin’s Creed will be announced on Feb. 27, as members of the press were given invitations to an event by Ubisoft scheduled on that date, with the Assassin’s Creed symbol prominently displayed on the invitation. The fact that the event is being held in a historical building bombed by the Luftwaffe airplanes during WWII has led some to speculate that the next game will take place during WWII.
