'Assassin's Creed 4' confirmed for Xbox 720 (Photos)

"Assassin's Creed 4" has been confirmed by Ubisoft and it also have been confirmed by the development team to be hitting the Xbox 720.

According to a report yesterday, "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" creative director Jean Guesdon confirmed the new game for the Xbox 720.

"The game will also be available on Next-Gen consoles," Guesdon said.

Now while this isn't a lot of information, it still implies that Ubisoft is making this game for the next Xbox, which is tentatively being referred to as Xbox 720.

Don't start with this could just mean PS4 and Wii U, because the Nintendo system is not what the new PlayStation and Xbox will be.

There hasn't been much about this "Assassin's Creed 4" reveal that has been a surprise, due to the many leaks that happened over the past few days, but gamers can expect this game to hit the Xbox 720.

There is no way Ubisoft won't port this game over to the Xbox 720, unless the system isn't released until holidays 2014. It's confirmed for the PS4 and the Xbox 720 is a shoe-in as well.

Ubisoft will most likely be doing the exact same thing with "Assassin's Creed 4" that they did with "Assassin's Creed 3."

They released the latter game on Oct. 30th last year, and then later it also launched with the Wii U. This is going to happen with the Xbox 720 and PS4, you can bet your money on it.

However, the question is, will gamers wait to purchase the game along with their next-generation console or will they just go ahead and buy the game for their current system?
