"Assassin's Creed 4" had been confirmed by Ubisoft weeks ago, but now some new information that has come out of the Sony camp has pointed to the next installment in the "Assassin's Creed" franchise coming to the PS3.
According to a report from GameChup yesterday, Michael Denny, senior vice-president of Sony WWS, talked about some of the upcoming games that will be coming to the PlayStation 3.
"Look at the games coming out on the PlayStation 3 like 'The Last of Us,' 'Beyond: Two Souls,' GT6, and then on the third-party side of things another fantastic 'Assassin’s Creed,' 'GTA.'
"It’s important for our content to have that kind of longevity because, as I was saying [about the PS Vita], the games that come through are going to get better and better over time," Denny said.
Just about all of the titles that Denny discussed are expected and have been revealed up to this point, including the next installment of "Assassin's Creed."
Gamers who were wondering whether or not "Assassin's Creed 4" would be coming to the PlayStation 3, can now breath freely as it will hit the older Sony console.
Most suspect the majority of games that are released on the PS4 and Xbox 720 will also be ported to their predecessors because Sony and Microsoft do not want to cut off that stream of revenue right away.
"Assassin's Creed 4" has been confirmed for released on the PlayStation 3, and many can expect the title to hit the PS4 as well.
