Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag trailer video for AC4 arrives from Ubisoft

An Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag trailer has arrived online to the delight of fans of the video game franchise. The new trailer was unveiled by game developer Ubisoft online over the past several days, with a brand new scenario for fans to delve into, departing from that of AC3.

According to a Geeks of Doom report from March 5, the newest installment of the AC franchise will focus on pirates. It will center around new character named Edward Kenway, with the infamous Blackbeard also appearing in the game. The game serves as a prequel since Edward is the father of Haytham Kenway and grandfather of Connor. These characters were both playable in AC3.

The YouTube video from Ubisoft shows off a movie-style trailer for the new game, rather than much of the gameplay. Those commenting on the video are already drawing comparisons between the game's look and feel with the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films.

Assassin's Creed IV will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and Windows PC, with an expected release date in North America of Oct. 29, 2013. A release date for a PlayStation 4 version of the title has yet to be announced.

AC fans, what do you think of the new trailer for the "Black Flag" installment in the series? Does it look promising?
