According to a report from Kotaku, the title and setting for the next “Assassin’s Creed” may have been revealed. Earlier this month, a Redditor claimed to have seen a PowerPoint presentation on marketing strategies of several gaming titles, including “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag”. Today, Feb. 26, 2013, Kotaku received a poster that is supposedly marketing for the rumored game.
The poster is a drawn image, not in-game artwork, from legendary comic book artist, Todd McFarlane. Having a poster from a famous comic book artist isn’t all that strange, because promotional materials for “Assassin’s Creed 3” featured artwork by Alex Ross, a comic book artist known for his painted work.
It is assumed that the next Assassin’s Creed will be announced tomorrow, on Feb. 27, as members of the press were given invitations to an event by Ubisoft scheduled on that date, with the Assassin’s Creed symbol prominently displayed on the invitation. There is also speculation that the game will take place during WWII, due to the fact that the event is being held in a historical building bombed by the Luftwaffe airplanes during WWII.
It’s rumored that “Assassin’s Creed 4” will be available on the PlayStation 3, but there’s been no official confirmation.
