After much speculation, on Feb. 28, 2013, Ubisoft has finally revealed the next entry in the “Assassin’s Creed” series, “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag”. Over the past few days, details began to emerge about the game, starting with a picture of a promotional poster drawn by comic book legend Todd McFarlane, and then the back of the poster, which showed a map of the Caribbean islands, circa 1715.

Details on the game’s plot have not been confirmed, but there were reports that the game would focus on Edward Kenway, the father of Haytham from “Assassin’s Creed 3”, and grandfather to that game’s hero, Connor. This would make sense, given the time period that the game is said to take place in.

The game will be released on PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U, with “60 minutes of exclusive gameplay” in the PS3 version, according to an image of the PlayStation 3 box art released by Ubisoft.
