It was previously announced by Ubisoft that a new installment to the “Assassin's Creed” franchise was scheduled to have a possible release date before the end of this year. Through this announcement, it was also revealed that we would be presented with a new time period, as well as a new protagonist, with the next installment to the “Assassin's Creed” franchise.
Today, Ubisoft has finally given us an official title for the next “Assassin's Creed” game, as well as a date for the game's reveal event. As reported by VG247 today, Ubisoft has confirmed that “Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag” will be the official title for this game. In addition to this, it has also been revealed that this title will be formally unveiled on Monday, March 4.
We have also received a few box art shots for “Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag” on the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. For those interested, you can view these photos in the slideshow featured above this article. It has also been confirmed that the PS3 version of this title will be receiving an additional 60 minutes of exclusive gameplay.
