The leaks from “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag” just seem to keep coming, this time, the world premiere trailer that is supposed to go online on Monday leaked online today, Mar. 2, 2013. Before the trailer was taken offline by Ubisoft, I managed to take some exclusive screenshots, which can be seen in the slideshow above.
The trailer is set up as the pirate Blackbeard (yes, the famous one from history) is talking to potential new recruits for a crew. He’s telling them his honest opinion about this new captain, Edward Kenway. He explains that Kenway is among the most clever men sailing the West Indies. He fights like the devil dressed as a man.
As Blackbeard says in the trailer:
“So, if it’s fortune and adventure you seek, then Captain Edward Kenway’s your man.”
This trailer confirms many earlier reports, chief among them being that the main character of the game will be Edward Kenway, the grandfather of Connor Kenway from “Assassin’s Creed III”. It also confirms that the game is coming out on next-gen consoles, because the logo for the PS4 is shown. The trailer shows off Edward doing some classic assassinations, but with a new, very pirate-like flair. At one point, he assassinates a man, and then walks away with his woman, in a way that would make Jack Sparrow proud.
“Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag” will be out Oct. 29, 2013.
