Ashraf Ismail has provided some hints at what to expect from the ending of the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.” In an interview with Digital Trends on Oct. 13, the director revealed more details in regards to the main character of the story, Edward Kenway.
Ashraf Ismail described the grandfather of Connor Kenway (the protagonist from the “Assassin’s Creed 3” video game) as a pirate with a “real human quality.” Players will be able to see his funny side along with his selfish acts and personal regrets.
The director also teased that Connor Kenway will find acceptance to who he is by the end of “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag,” hinting that the sequel will contain the “one of the best endings” from the entire series. The end of the game is literally him accepting his lot in life and kind of accepting responsibility for his actions. And I think, honestly, and I’m biased, it’s one of the best endings to any AC, because it’s really rounded. It’s a really beautiful moment. He accepts who he is in life.
