‘Assassin’s Creed 4’ announcement coming on Feb. 27?

According to a report by the website VGLeaks on Feb. 20, Ubisoft will be hosting an event on Feb. 27 that focuses on “Assassin’s Creed”. Members of the media were presented with invitations that feature the “Assassin’s Creed” symbol on the top on paper meant to look very old.

It’s possible that the event is only to announce more “Assassin’s Creed 3” DLC, but many are hopeful that it’s to announce a new game, which was mentioned during an earnings call recently. Recent rumors have put the location of the next game as Brazil, but as VGLeaks points out, the location of the event might suggest the setting of the game. The event is set to take place in a historical building bombed by the Luftwaffe airplanes during WWII.

This would make sense, as the CEO of Ubisoft Yves Guillemot said that the next game would focus on a new hero, in a new location, in a new time period. WWII is just as likely as anything else.
