It looks like the rumors are true and the reveal on the next Assassin's Creed title is all but officially confirmed. Assassin's Creed 3 finally moves up a numeral, abandoning the Renaissance setting of Ezio Auditore and moving to 18th century colonial America for the Revolutionary War.
Images first appeared yesterday when a leaked Best Buy promotional image was submitted to Kotaku. Now the box art has appeared in three flavors for the PS3, PC and Xbox 360, on Facebook, while Game Informer has revealed the cover for their next issue. Assassin's Creed 3 is set to take on the non-FPS audience (or just action game fans with big pockets) who are willing to play something other than a Call of Duty game with an October 30th release date.
