PAWS Chicago is the largest No Kill humane organization in the Midwest and because of that they are expected to offer the best of everything to the general populous of and around Chicagoland. Well, they are doing just that and much more!
In the next month, PAWS Chicago is going to offer their PAWS Chicago Speaker Series entitled Ask Me a Question: Thought Leaders Reveal Answers to Questions about Animal Welfare, Canine Behavior and Veterinary Medicine. This is a one-of-a-kind series that will take place on Wednesday, September 24th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the new PAWS Chicago Training Center.
There are ever so many questions that people have about their beloved pets; not certain where to go for real answers. This event was created with you in mind. PAWS Chicago wants to encourage you to bring your friends and family and join them for an engaging panel discussion with the following speakers:
Paula Fasseas, Founder and Chair of PAWS Chicago, will moderate the panel and answer questions about PAWS Chicago and the No Kill movement.
Dr. Cindy Charlier, DVM, Fox Valley Veterinary Dentistry & Surgery, will speak about oral health and its impact on our pets. She will also talk about a cancer study she is involved in using canine olfaction to detect early stage ovarian cancer in women.
Joan Harris, Director of Training and Canine Behavior at PAWS Chicago, who will educate guests on the importance of dog training and discuss nose work and the different types of classes we offer.
Mark Lukas, Gold Star Volunteer, will offer an insider perspective on a day in the life of a PAWS Chicago volunteer.
