Asian restaurant succeeds Rye Brook movie house

RYE BROOK, NY -- Now playing at Rye Ridge Plaza: the Buddha restaurant.

The Asian restaurant, complete with hibachi tables, standard seating and a sushi station, has opened in space that once housed the Rye Ridge move theater.

Buddha's oversized menu, typical of most Asian restaurants, ranges from such offerings a a sushi beginning (5 pieces for $8) to sushi and sashimi for two ($48); kumamoto oyster platter ($10), Cantonese chow fun ($11, $13, $14) and pan roasted or steamed Chilean sea bass ($20).
